My baby is becoming a woman…uh…I mean a cat. For the last few days, she has been acting like more of a nutjob than usual, typically at 3:30 in the morning. She follows my 17-year-old cat around, meowing incessantly at her and rolling around on the floor. Well…not really ‘meowing’ so much. It’s more of a “brrrrrrrt?” sound that Megan refers to as ‘cooing’. While all of this is going on, she crouches down low to the ground, and if you scratch her back right at the base of her tail, she raises her bottom up into the air and wiggles it around. Typically she will bite you if you scratch her there, so I’m pretty sure she’s in heat.
Of course Janie (the 17 year old cat) hates being followed around by Harley, and usually growls and hisses at her when she gets too close. Did I mention that all of this is typically going on at 3:30 in the morning? Good times!!!
I’m not sure why she’d be suddenly infatuated with the older FEMALE cat, if she’s in heat. I keep trying to explain that Janie really can’t help her out, but she doesn’t listen. Maybe my kitty is a lesbian. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
I think it would be funny if my kittens turned out to be lesbians. My dad has two male cats that we call the Brokecat Mountain couple. They are always curled up sleeping together or licking each other. My kittens were born in my dad’s house and spent their first 8 weeks of life there. Maybe there’s something in the water.
hahahahahaahah.. hahahahahaa.. That's halarious.. So i guess you have a vet appointment for your two kitties here shortly to have them fixed… I can't believe they are that old already… Time flies by when your having fun I guess.
