Found it!

About a month ago, you may recall that I went for allergy testing, the result of which was that I have no allergies, I just have a stupidly sensitive nose that likes to get stuffy for no real reason. At that time, I was given a prescription for Flonase that I have not yet had filled – not because I am ignoring the doctor’s suggestion, but because I still had some from another prescription that I was finishing first. Anyway…

I have another prescription that I have to refill today, so I decided that while I was there, I would go ahead and just get the Flonase too. The only problem – I could not for the life of me remember where I had put the prescription. I spent last evening looking everywhere that I could possibly think to look, and couldn’t find it. While it is not imperative that I fill the prescription today, it was starting to bug me that I could not remember where I had put it. Something like that would usually go into my purse so that I’d have it when I’d need it. Not so, this time. I went to bed last night thinking, “Please let me wake up in the morning and remember where I put it, so I don’t have to call the doctor and tell him that I lost it.”

When I woke up this morning, before I was completely awake, I found myself thinking about a book – more specifically, the inside cover of a book. I remembered that I had been reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows when I went for the allergy testing, and that I had taken it with me to read that day. Figuring it was worth a shot, I went to my daughter’s room, got the book from the bookcase, opened up the cover, and voila! There was my prescription.
